It's been a while since I've made butter icing...and I forgot how long it takes to make them! For my brother-in-law's birthday get together today, I decided to bake chiffon cake with butter icing. Well, if I may say...it was yummy! Just perfect with coffee, (and if you know me, then you know I love coffee!) Having said that, I still find chocolate cake the easiest cake to bake, and even the chocolate frosting is easy. It's actually my guilty pleasure!
Anyway, I was busy this past week...Wednesday night, I finished the photo bracelet my sister's friend ordered and a beaded eyeglass chain for a cousin. Thursday, I added a couple of pages on my wedding work scrapbook. Friday night, I went out with a couple of girlfriends for a coffee break. I stayed after work at the flowershop Saturday- yesterday (http://www.fitzgeraldsflowers.com/) to clean and de-junk! (And boy, there's a lot of junk!) I have just taken down the last few left-over Valentine displays and stuff, and started to put more colors at the shop! Hmmm...Spring is in the air!
I love week ends...well, who doesn't? Oh, I almost forgot, the best part of today while I was at my sister's was that I sold See's candies for my son's Track and Field fundraiser! See? I'm not the only one who loves chocolates. Thank God, this is our last school fundraiser...as Derrick is graduating this June! So...See's candies, anyone?

A table full of yummy samplers...
Chocolate crinkles, mamon, ensaymada, banana bread, cinnamon rolls, pandesal with cheese.
My girlfriends came over (you know who you are!) that afternoon and we had a wonderful time chatting over coffee and munchies.
Now...coffee, anyone?

I made this charm bracelet for a dear friend. Facing her challenges head on, she's keeping the faith. May this remind her when she wears it that life is beautiful and God is love.

My special thanks to bff Theisa for helping me create and set-up my blog! This bracelet is our test run...scanned then uploaded! Not too shabby for a first try!
